Arrived in Chile

Twenty five hours after wheels up in Boston I landed in Orsono Chile. Along the way I had layovers in Atlanta and Santiego. One other member of the tour and the tour guide are here. A third guy from near NYC was supposed to be on the last leg with me but his flight from Houston to Santiego was cancelled yesterday. He and the rest of the tour members will be arriving Saturday. We will head out on the motorcycles Sunday.

Here is a picture my wife, Tracey, took of me and my huge gear bag as she dropped me off at the airport in Boston.

Here are a couple of pics when I landed in Orsono, which is a city of about 170,000 people. The main industry here is beef and dairy, often sold to buyers in Asian countries. Here is a map of the town, with the farmland around it.

Saturday and Sunday I'll have more detail and pics as we go to the motorcycle rental business, get set up with our motorcycles, and ultimately head out on the trip. This post is just to say, I'm here.
