Trip Overview

This trip is around the south island of New Zealand. We fly into Christchurch, tour it for a day, and then set off for 12 days on motorcycles. This trip is 100% paved roads. No dirt roads on this trip. We will cover abut 2,000 miles. I will be riding a two-cylinder Honda 750 Transalp. This is also a "self guided trip." The tour company we rent the bikes from has planned the route and booked the hotels. We carry all our luggage for the trip with us in saddlebags on the bikes and navigate the route ourselves. There are three of us on this trip.
